Hello, one and all! This is my first post on The fANNAtabulous Life, which is SUPER EXCITING! Let me preface my post by saying that I’ve tried to be a blogger before, but I’ve never quite had enough to blog about. That’s because I’ve kind of pigeonholed myself into one very specific subjest. NO MORE! This Tumblr is going to be all over the place, and *hopefully* that will keep me absolutely bursting with things to talk about!
I have a theme for today. Since it’s the first post, I decided to do something existential. The theme is…. *drumroll, please* Spools of thread! Besides being absolutely one of my biggest geek-out obsessions (I love sewing, so I have a whole rack of super-amazing threads in my room), they actually are more existential than you might think. How about this: a spool of thread can represent a topic. Every topic is different; it has a different color. Also, every topic has a story, an explanation to delve into. That’s where you start unrolling the spool of thread. The thread is the story. See? I am so metaphorically gifted.
ANYWAY, the picture up top is me, Anna *curtsy*. If you can’t tell, I’m wearing my Wicked shirt. I love Wicked! And lots of other musicals! Cause I’m a theater kid and they’re awesome! I’m also wearing my “sole” mates. Also known as my Poetic License shoes. I have thing about shoes. Since I sew, they’re the one thing that I obsessively HAVE to buy. Unless I steal them from my also-shoe-obsessed grandmother. (Also, yes, those are chickens in the picture. I live on a farm, and they wouldn’t move. Get over it.)
Besides fashion, which I can’t help discussing, I also plan to discuss TV (another one of my obsessions), movies (ditto), books (Lordy, don’t even get me started), cooking (I’m such a baker!), travel (I’m probably going to Europe this summer!!!!!!!) and any other random subject that happens to come to mind. Get ready, world! It’s going to be fANNAtabulous!
